Opening of Dabakery Shop & Gallery in New York’s South Bronx

The Official MTN (Montana Colors Spain), the first in the world and genuine spray paint trademark specializes in graffiti opens its doors in New York city.

The past 26th of June 2009 we started our new adventure, Da Bakery Shop & Gallery opened its Doors officially.

The space is situated at 1700 Southern Blvd. in the Bronx, also called the birthplace of Hip Hop Culture it’s doors with the idea of becoming a meeting point for the graffiti and urban art lovers in general.

Nothing was missing in the opening date, cold beer, food, Guayaba cakes refreshing the Puerto Rican roots of the people in charge, Sen2 and Beond, all types of cakes; and musical session from Dj Nodoubt that gave us a taste of the best hip hop hits from the beginning up to today. There were also B-boys of the old and new generations…

The public responded really well to this beginning of the Da Bakery and during the hours that the event lasted, from 7pm to 11pm, people kept passing by being interested about the new shop and buying the exclusive products sold and enjoying the exposition of Sen2 and Beond. They were perfect hosts accompanied by the artists FlyID, T-Kid, Kem5 from Boston and Zek from Canada.

Da Bakery plans on expanding internationally with the collaborative efforts of our strategic partners in Spain. The people at Plural Form, that have help us from the beginning with the project and the idea of opening a shop in Spain in the near future.

We hope to be able to enjoy other stories in this our new adventure and that we can share them with you.
